1. Install Hanbiro software service
Is it necessary for a domain name to use this service?
Yes. Your company needs to buy a domain for the company to set up the software. Besides, it’s also more professional when you send an email than from Gmail or Yahoo mail.
What are the steps to install a mail server for the company?
The installation will be different depending on whether your company has a domain or not.
In case of having a domain and using it for your email:
- We will add a domain name to use on Hanbiro’s server.
- Create a user list on the Hanbiro server and synchronize it with the email list.
- The hostname and IP address set to the MX tag in your DNS server must be changed to work with the Hanbiro server. For example: with the domain “company-domain.com”, an email address is “id@company-domain.com” and the mail/groupware app page will be “office.company-domain.com”.

How long does it take to install?
Depending on the setting of the MX tag in DNS, setting may take less than 1 hour or a few days. If you require a demo, it takes less than 1 hour.
Do I need to download any app to run the software?
No, the web app can access the browser without any app. However, apps on Windows, Mac computers as well as Android and iOS need to be downloaded from CH Play or App Store.
What operating systems and database systems does Hanbiro software run on?
Linux, use the MySQL database, MariaDB and Cassandra.
How long for up-time?
Our servers make sure up-time up to 99.9%. Special cases are all scheduled or emergency maintenance.
What is the MX log?
A MX Log (e-mail log) instructs to send to the domain name. MX changes depending on setting in the DNS environment.
When do we need to change the MX tag?
Modify MX tags after adding users in your domain name. Change the MX Log before you create an ID that will make your emails returned.
Can I trust Hanbiro to make sure my data is safe?
Yes, We take careful steps to ensure your data is safe and secure all the time. Both the client and server support Secure Sockets Layer (SSL) and all data sent to the server is encrypted.
In addition, we also support security password and secondary security for documents, ensuring absolute security at all times. The Hanbiro server also uses the RAID feature and the DRBD software system on the backup server to create a complete system that protects your data.
Is Hanbiro Groupware reliable?

Can we add our company logo on the software?
Sure! Admin can customize the Web app and Messenger screen.
Are there features similar to Microsoft Exchange or Google App?
All the above features are available. However, Hanbiro offers many additional features with a mobile app that connects together at lower cost.
2. Question and answer about E-Mail business
What kind of email system does Hanbiro use?
We use qmail, one of the most famous MTA.

How to get email from other mail systems?
If that mail service supports POP3, you can easily get all your email by configuring a POP3 account in the settings of Hanbiro Mail. Just simply fill in the pop3 server address, POP3 port, and login information to get mail right at Hanbiro Mail software.
I used Microsoft Outlook. Why do I need Hanbiro Mail?
Hanbiro Mail can replace Outlook or use the combination depending on you.
However, we recommend Hanbiro Mail for a few reasons: Hanbiro Mail is easier to access than Outlook because it only needs a web browser and doesn’t need to download any additional software or install account information on your computer.
In addition, Hanbiro Mail also offers additional features such as Contacts, CloudDisk and mobile applications to work more easily and conveniently.
Can I use Hanbiro Mail on my outlook or Thunderbird system?
Yes! Hanbiro Mail supports POP3 and IMAP access, so you can easily set up accounts on Outlook and Thunderbird.
Can Contacts and Calendars sync with mobile?
Of course! You can synchronize Contacts and Calendar information with your mobile through our mobile app. We currently support Android and iOS
Does Hanbiro Mail protect spam emails and viruses?
Sure, our software provides an anti-virus service that blocks viruses before they penetrate your email folder. We also provide a powerful spam blocking mechanism with individually controllable spam filters.
Can I set up alias mail?
Of course! The admin can add one or several alias accounts and possibly select which users can email the alias account.
